Studio News

The trainers at Brisbane city have been kicking some goals this year and are excited about the warmer weather and the increase in their outdoor adventures. Pek has continued his Olympic lifting training and is always learning something new from his afternoon lifting sessions. Feel free to look Pek Lees up if you wanted to progress your advanced lifting and be shown how to progress with correct form. The warmer weather means more time in the water for Pek and is still keen to master the surfboard this summer. Next year will see him return to his mother country, Thailand, and he is planning a trip to one of the Muay Thai kick boxing camps in Phuket that Nathan Gill suggested to him. This type of training requires the correct preparation. If you’re looking to be challenged then look Pek or Nathan up for a kickboxing session.

Go Somerton….

Somerton has recently joined PB city and is a regular face putting the Xtreme Fit groupies through their paces. With his military training background he is never short of ideas to challenge the human body. Somerton continues his journey with Cross fit this year and most recently increased his dead lift PB to 185kg for a three repetition max. One needs to question his riding ability on the trail bike though with a recent high speed fall that left him rattled and bruised. Somerton is the master of the kitchen and with his wife’s recent birthday was very proud of his cake making ability, the pictures looked amazing and completely healthy as well! Ask Somerton next time you see him to share his ideas on creating treats that are healthy.

Nathan completed his first Stampede Race this month and was challenged by the amount of hills on the course! The obstacles were a relief after some of the hill climbs. Great fun and we look forward to putting a bigger team together next year. With the 2014 Thailand fitness camp adventure trip just around the corner cardio workouts for Nathan are on the increase. Let’s hope he doesn’t fade away to a shadow.

Boxing Course

New Boxing Course

Recently compiling and having accredited a level 1 and level 2 in Boxing Technique, Nathan plans to offer Boxing courses to current Personal Trainers as well as offering the level 1 to all fitness enthusiasts. We will keep you updated on the upcoming course.

Like Pek, summer means time in the water and at the beach for Nathan. He is looking forward to the water increasing in temperature to get back into his water skiing. Bring on summer!

Group Session

The Brisbane city groupies are loving the group sessions conducted each week. With new morning and afternoon classes there is no reason for groupies to miss a session.

We are heading into the last 12 weeks of the year and new programs have been set. Testing is complete and it is time for new goals to be set and new records to be achieved. Groupies are seeing the results of their hard work over the last few months and are gaining a greater understanding of what can be achieved with regular and consistent training. This combined with the program design of the trainer’s and their passion for progression has seen success for those that have stuck to the plan. Well done team!
